Description: Crandell Mountain can be ascended from several directions. The description here is of the ascent via the west ridge. The route starts at the trailhead to Crandell Lake on the Akamina Parkway. The park trail to Crandell Lake is followed until it intersects with the trail from Waterton townsite. The route then heads off trail up the ridge. Steep sections and route finding necessary. Return the same way.
