Description: The hike starts in South Drywood Creek (gate open from June 15 to
September 1). Follow the off-road vehicle road to Bovin Lake (6.5 km and 400 m/1400 feet elevation gain), then take the cut-line trail south to the saddle. Ascend the ridge to the summit. Return via the same route.

An extended trip can be made by ascending the ridge on the north side of Bovin Lake (steep scree slope), then circumnavigating to the saddle (off-trail, scramble).
